Social & Community Participation

Social and community engagement under the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) refers to support that helps participants build and maintain connections within their communities. This type of support focuses on improving social skills, increasing independence, and fostering relationships, all of which contribute to a participant’s overall well-being. Activities that encourage participants to take part in community events, join social groups, volunteer, or engage in hobbies and interests. These activities can range from attending social clubs, participating in sports, joining community classes, or simply getting out into the community to shop. Social and community engagement supports are designed to empower participants by helping them develop the confidence and skills needed to actively participate in their communities, reducing isolation and promoting inclusion. This engagement helps participants by enabling them to build meaningful connections and live more independently.

Primacy Care Australia is dedicated to enriching the lives of NDIS participants through social and community engagement. We understand the profound impact of meaningful connections and shared experiences on mental well-being. Our personalised support goes beyond simply encouraging you to attend events – we focus on fostering genuine relationships, cultivating a sense of belonging, and promoting active participation in activities that ignite passion and purpose.
